At the end of November, we begin experimental research involving replicas of flint figurines, made after the original representations from the Magdalenian site Wilczyce 10, Sandomierz district. A series of nine figurines for research were made by Witold Grużdź and Witold Migal from the State Archaeological Museum in Warsaw. After preliminary documentation of traces on the surface of the replicas, we will test different ways of using such objects: carrying them in a pocket, rubbing the surface, hanging them inside and outside the hut using string, thong and willow bast. According to initial assumptions, the experiment will last 12 or 18 months, and the use wear on the experimental figures will be observed cyclically. They will become the basis for comparative research with the use wear on the surface of the original representations.
